A sense of wellbeing and tranquillity comes from a connection to nature, and in the provision of spaces that are minimal and quiet in tone. The owners of this residence have lived here for 30 years. The building itself, built in the 70’s and extended in the 90’s, has now been transformed into an ultra modern, bespoke and minimalist design with an emphasis on natural materials.

Tonally and texturally restrained with classic Venetian plaster walls to the living area and kitchen, white-washed timber flooring, punctuated with sumptuous Volakas Marble stone to the kitchen area and verandah. The original red brick facade is now rendered with a Moroka coating to give a rustic look.

An additional story atop the home has provided a canopy level bedroom with spacious walk-in robe. Full height pivot doors with lever pull handles throughout the residence allow its occupants to open up spaces to fresh breezes, but also, to close down and cocoon. Outside, a triple-tiered pond with a feature Dragon Tree brings inside the soothing sounds of flowing water.
